Recycling Information

Oakland previously participated in a recycling program thru Fayette County. Residents had the option of transporting their recyclable material to the Town Square across from the graveyard on Highway 194. Once there, a crew took delivery of your material and loaded it onto trailers. Pickup times were from 9 AM to 12 PM on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of every month. However, due to financial cutbacks by the County, the recycling program has been discontinued. At this time, the Town of Oakland is committed to trying to find an alternative to the County's decision to halt the recycling service. Please rest assured we will remedy the issue and notify you as soon as possible.
